The 2023 Asia Cup will be the 16th edition of the Asia Cup,
from
Thu, 31 Aug, 2023 – Sun, 17 Sept, 2023
jointly hosted by Pakistan and Sri Lanka. The tournament will feature 6 teams playing as One Day Internationals (ODIs). Scheduled for August and September 2023, the competition will witness Sri Lanka defending their championship title. This will be the first time in Asia Cup history that multiple countries co-host the event, with four matches taking place in Pakistan and the remaining nine matches in Sri Lanka.
Asia Cup 2023 Fixtures
In Multan, the 2023 Asia Cup will kick off with Pakistan facing Nepal in the opening match. The tournament will be played in fifty-overs format and features six teams, divided into two groups of three teams each. Group A consists of Pakistan, India, and Nepal, while Group B includes Bangladesh, Afghanistan, and Sri Lanka. The matches will be split between two venues, with Pakistan hosting four games and Sri Lanka hosting the rest. Notably, the highly anticipated clash between India and Pakistan is scheduled for September 2 in Kandy.
